Flax seed is a good source of Omega, which many of us don’t get enough of, and was recommended to me by a doctor years ago. Barleans is an excellent brand. The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it’s not high lignan, which has more particulate in it. I herb used to carry the high lignan but I can’t find it now.

I would not season a pan with flaxseed oil, as it has a very low smoke point and is not meant to be heated. Coconut oil or avocado oil would be a better choice.
To my knowledge it is not shipped refrigerated anywhere. I used to buy this at a local health food store for about $10 more only because it was refrigerated but then one day the owner of that store told me that it is shipped to them un-refrigerated. since then I’ve been buying from Foodpharmacy Blog. According to Bearlean the product should be refrigerated to maintain freshness and frozen for long term storage. I’ve been ordering un-refrigerated for years, once it arrives it goes into the refrigerator and it’s always been good.
