There are no antibiotics as we know them from our western medical community, that it to say penicillin, doxycyline, amoxiclav, etc. etc. in Colostrum. However, Colostrum provides the immune enhancing antibodies that our newborn bodies need to finish developing our immune systems. That’s why breast fed babies are generally healthier than bottle fed babies. Big difference! I was very sickly as a newborn, despite being breast fed, because of my fathers three pack-a-day habit. As was the norm in 1960, penicillin was prescribed for my cough and wheezing when I was only 3 days old. When my Mum finally left my father, she was finally able to take me off the penicillin. I was 7 years old. Because of seven years of antibiotic abuse, I have lived with a compromised immune system all my life. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 50, and I refused the chemo therapy that was proposed for me that I sought serious (& expensive) alternative help.
