Well, okay, there is some other tea in the house-herbal, green, and white. At the five minute time, this tea really stepped up in all categories. I was expecting to find an english breakfast tea style in the grocery store but every store i have checked between zadar and dubrovnik has no such thing. It should also be noted that i will not be linking directly to this tea on the tj’s site because even after using their search engine i could not find it’s location. And, as an aside, why is it that people who know one likes tea think that means they should gift one with any kind of tea? This tea is listed as organic so there will be no metal in this drink. I have actually found it hard to source readily available loose earl grey tea; most loose leaf teas tend to be novel blends rather than a classic ones like earl grey. Many people find this to be a great every day earl grey. At just steeped, i did not really like the overwhelming flavor but after letting it cool a bit this tea smoothed out very nicely. Steep earl grey teas for 2 to 4 minutes. Then two other companies sent me green only earl grey and asked that i review them. It has a bit of black tea to it but not much else. Some say a chinese mandarin who was saved by lord grey’s men from drowning delivered the tea as a gift. When the package arrived i found a black zip lock type sample pouch. It combines the rich, malty flavors of black tea with the uplifting citrusy tang of herbal and floral teas. I normally use twining’s tea because of it’s great taste and aroma was hoping i would get the same with this tea. It’s so frustrating when friends offer black tea and then proudly bring out the eg.
I like my first attempt, but i think i will make the tea a bit stronger and use a little less port next time.
