The taste is very similar to soy, but the taste is softer. However, when added to food, you realize that the sauce is not very salty, i. e. you can’t add salt to this sauce or you have to add VERY much, but then the taste will be a little sweet. Tastes like soy sauce but not as salty Milder in taste. I find normal soy sauce very salty and extremely high in sodium. This is an excellent healthy but more pricey alternative. Never using soy again. Health is definitely more important.

I purchased this to replace soy sauce/tamari in low carb g/f Asian cooking, but find it is not as salty as I would like and is a little too sweet. It does make a great dipping sauce for Asian meatballs though, with a little sesame oil and chilli!

It’s a soy sauce substitute, much healthier. So you can use in every recipe that takes soy sauce as ingredient. Taste is very light not as salty as regular soy sauce. a bit sweeter! I highly recommend it.
