The degree of vitamin d deficiency is determined according to the 25(Oh)d levels in the blood. It depends upon how much sun exposure you receive on a daily basis as well as your geographical location. A good many health practitioners are now finding signs of Vitamin D deficiency in clients who have shunned the sun out of fear of skin cancers. I have read that unless you’re exposed to sunshine in regular daily quantities, then most people are likely to be deficient in Vitamin D3, and more so for those in colder climates, or those who, for religious reasons, wear more clothing. Discussion with a health care practitioner would be advisable. I also recommend taking Lycopene if out in the sun on a regular basis.
