I haven’t seen one of this producer without FOS, FOS usually causes me stomach problems too but I take this particular probiotic and never have a problem. The time-released pearles are small and easy to swallow. There is a “Pro-kids” by Hyperbiotics which is smaller. My daughter crushed the Pro-Kids and mixed it with baby formula for a little one who had had strong antibiotic therapy in hospital. It worked well. Whether or not crushing either product to mix in food might affect doseage (exposure of organisms to stomach acid?) would be a good question for the Hyperbiotics customer service team; they have always been very helpful. I asked my doctor when I was pregnant and she said yes. Hyperbiotics makes another probiotic that is a different formula just for pregnant and nursing moms (called Pro-Moms, I think).
