I have been taking Neo Cell Keratin for at least 8 months now. I am allergic to everything, but have had no problems with this product. What I can say though is that it works. Neither gelatin nor collagen can be found in plant-based sources. Collagen is part of the connective tissue structure and gelatin comes from the skin, bones and tissues of animals. The closest substitute for gelatin is a gel that is seaweed based, but it won’t do anything for your hair or nails. It’s just a gel, not gelatin. There is no plant-based substitute for collagen.
