I bought it for insomnia and ate it two days before I went to bed. I felt nothing and couldn’t sleep.

This nootropic is not so great, and unfortunately I am unable to recommend it to anyone, the “Now” brand is great I have some other things made by them, so I know that the brand isn’t the problem, so my personal review is as follows: I was taking the supplement as recommended by experts and the manufacturer, and the results were that it made me sleepy all the time and instead of promoting alpha waves it just made me sleepy all the time and I didn’t get the results it was supposed to provide such as high alert state of consciousness like a meditative state. Just tired, always tired, very sedative, also trying it with coffee as recommended didn’t do anything positive so with or without coffee it did not do me any good. Sorry to disappoint anyone.

I’ve tried a few different ones, and in my opinion this L-Theanine is among the better ones out there. This is the best price/effect combo on Foodpharmacy Blog, but not the best overall. There are certain growers on other sites who offer more potency – sites like eBay. L-Theanine is one of the more important supplements however, it’s in my top 5. A day without L-Theanine is note-worthily worse. Recommended.

It helps a little. Melatonin 1mg is better (with melatonin, a higher dose is not more effective – you don’t need to go above 1mg).
