Hello. it looks like form the reviews below. people are using this product internally. is that safe? I ask because, that is Why i bought it. But I had not read it’s specifications before purchasing. I’ve noticed that the clay gets very clumpy and a little slippery when I try to mix it with water. There is no way I can apply it to my face. How can I prevent this from happening?

Yes, if it is Bentonite. It helps remove toxins from the system. Start taking small doses, very small, then move up to 1 tablespoon twice a day if you have a lot to remove. This was pure our doctor. (I am NOT a doctor. ) but keep in mind, this must be taken 2 hours away from ALL medications and supplements. Otherwise the Bentonite clay will absorb them and flush them out as well with the toxins. Sad to say my son and I have been taking this combined with Activated Charcoal and another sequestering agent to remove toxic mold from our bodies (Mycotoxicosis). My son was put on it at age 3. Hey Penelope, I have only use external, so far. I’ve been trying to find one that can be taken internally, with no luck. It does say pure, and it probably would not hurt you. However, you will have to take at your own risk. I might try it to see just what it is like myself. If I do, I will come back and let you know how it was. Hope this helps.
I don’t think you can prevent this. It is the nature of clay. Much of it has to do with getting just the right portions of clay to water and use very hot water when mixing. I mix mine up in a seal tight plastic container (one of those that soup from the Chinese restaurant comes in) and shake it vigorously. Clumpy or not, it can still be applied and works well. 🙂 Best wishes.
