Yes it needs to be cooked like quinoa & good source of protein for 10 month old. but always try a little first with a small child.
It is advised to rinse your amaranth before cooking. I rinse mine in a metal coffee filter made for the chemex coffee makers because most other strainers just don’t work since amaranth is so tiny.
