Is this derived from the inner, or the outer bark?
I was wondering if slippery elm can be taken with someone who has allergies to grass & pollen? I have taken it in the past and didn’t notice any sign of allergic reactions, but I do have severe allergies to grass and pollen.

The slippery elm is obtained from the the fibrous and slippery mucilage of the inner bark. It is more specifically used for Diverticulitis, IBS, Crohns Disease, Colis and such intestinal inflammation. Not aware that it can be used for allergies, and we have many.
I have had no reaction to slippery elm, but I don’t have an allergy to grass or pollen either, so I don’t think this will be much help.
