This is one of those tea blends, which looks equally refreshing when used to make iced tea. Trying a few different brands of smoked tea for the first time. Not going to lie i was not expecting to see the use of boiling water since there is green tea present. Earl grey is one of my favorite teas so i have tried many brand over the years. Earl grey teas that are coated with oils tend to have a stronger citrus flavor. Use a lid to keep the heat in your cup and enhance the flavors of earl grey. Luckily, you can find teas that take these concerns to heart and make an effort to lessen their impact. Given the level of caffeine in this tea i did not think that was a wise move. For the record, this is probably the lightest earl grey i have probably ever tested. The aroma when you first open the packaging is big on citrus and very small on tea. White tea is rich in egcg, a catechin with protective effects against heart disease. For those who prefer earl grey in form of loose leaves, this is your bet. Even though i burned off all of the earl grey flavor i really liked their choice in black tea. The resulting citrusy and chocolate flavors make this tea a delight in the morning and at night. Superior decaffeination methods which are safer and result in tea retaining it’s flavor are the least used methods of all.
