I don’t think it does. This shampoo claims to reduce hair thinning, but when you read the fine print, it is only hair thinning “due to breakage” that it claims to prevent. DHT Blockers on the other hand act to reduce genetic hair thinning. So I think if you have genetic hair thinning, you might find other products more effective than this one. Hope this helps
