Logically speaking, the 25mg is the amount of elemental iron it provides, since the bottle states that it provides 135% of the daily requirement. Since 100% of daily elemental iron requirement is 18mg, it makes sense that 25mg is also elemental iron. Also, would not make sense for them to state 25mg as the weight of the entire compound plus additives, no point and would be useless info. Unless the were to say – 200mg of iron bisglycinate providing 25mg of iron. Anyways, they have made it very clear on the label that it’s 25mg of iron (from iron bisglycinate), not 25 mg of the iron bisglycinate.

I took 6 of these for half a year and ferritin went up to a perfect level. Great. Stopped taking it. Ferritin went down once more. Took 6 a day again, ferriting went up again. So now continue taking one of these a day, and I plan to go on doing so, at least until menopause. So yes, it does help quickly, but if you cannot or will not do anything against the cause of your low iron, you may have to go on taking them. No big deal.
