Particles are coarse and do not come out of more than beige color, the worst ~~! I bought two bags and dyed them. I don’t buy again.

I ordered 10 units of red henna to use for hair dye throughout the year. I have used henna as to dye my hair for almost a decade and have specifically used Starwest Botanicals for several years. I purchased the henna from Foodpharmacy Blog rather than going directly through Starwest Botanicals because it was more than $5 cheaper per package. BIG MISTAKE. I used two bags over the last few months with no issue, but when I opened the third, the color of the henna powder seemed off. I ignored my instinct and proceeded to mix the powder with water to create a paste to apply to my hair. I applied the mixture and left it on my hair for several hours as I usually do; however, when I rinse the henna out of my hair, there was ZERO color deposited. Hoping that the one bag was just a fluke, I ripped open another one the following week when I had time to try dyeing my hair another time. Yet again, the color was off. Rather than go through the whole application process, I tried a spot test on my arm and found ZERO color yet again. The only positive aspect of my experience with Foodpharmacy Blog has been the return process. I was initially told that I could only return unopened packages, but after waiting to speak with a supervisor, I think the issue has been resolved, and I will receive a refund for all eight defective packages. None of the bags have an expiration date, but I suspect that they are all expired since they have the same lot number. Overall, I would not recommend purchasing henna from Foodpharmacy Blog. It’s worth paying a little more per bag to ensure the product is high-quality and unspoiled.

I bought it about 3 years ago because I had short hair, so I tried to buy it again this year. I tried it a couple of times and I’m going to change something else. There is no intention to purchase sugar until the review goes well.

I used to live in Turkey and their red henna is so much redder than this indian one. and i am based in india and cannot find red henna here, so i bought this back with me from australia – its still henna, and makes my hair nice and soft etc, but its quite dull compared to other red hennas iv used.

Yes, it can be used for henna tattoos. This bag contains nothing but henna powder. You will probably need to sieve it first, because the powder texture is not super fine. I found that adding a small amount of essential oil (lavender, neem etc) resulted in a darker dye. Hope this helps!
Hi, Cassia-based products are a type of henna for blonde and light colour hair and the lawsonia henna that you ask about is for a red hue. The former only works on light-coloured hair (but not white or grey), while the later works on most shades of brown. If you want a darker or browner shade, use the product that you are asking about and add one third part of amla and one third or one half part of Indigo which is typically for black hair (it gives a slightly bluish tint). Google some henna blogs and you will see examples of shades and recipes.
i use a cup at a time. mix into paste with hot water and apply. have found this product sometimes ineffective
1. And 2. This is 1 whole closed plastic package of powder 465 g.3. I use 5 tbsp (use wooden spoon and ceramic bowl to avoid any reactions) to color my roots and more for all hairs. Put hot water to get paste and apply on clean hairs very quickly as possible. Then cover your head plastic bag and towel to save warm. Wash after 45 or 60 minutes.
