DFE stands for “dietary folate equivalent”. Apparently food form of folate is less bioavailable than the form used in the supplements, therefore 400mcg of the folate compound in the vitamin would be equivalent in action to 668mcg of folate from the food source.
I hope its back in stock soon as I take it under my eye specialists orders as it is helping to me keep my glaucoma in check. It has stopped it from getting any worse and in fact it had improved ever so slightly since starting o n the trial of B complex #12. Thank you, Andrea Barwick

One per day.
One is enough, it contains much more than the daily dose. If your deficiency isn’t sever I’d even opt for less than one: 2-3 a week. Taking it on a daily basis gave me heart palpitations, so I’ve cut it to 2 a week.

Advanced Orthomolecular Research has two b complex variations with all the right bio available vitamin forms. I’ve been taking the Advanced B Complex (not Ultra) when Thorne B12 was out of stock, but I had to adjust the dose to suit my needs. It seems more expensive at first glance, but when you calculate a similar dose the price is almost the same. Unfortunately, there seems to be something wrong with every other Thorne b-complex formulation (the wrong form of one vitamin or too much of another) so they are not good substitutes for their B12 complex.
