Yogourmet, Kefir Starter, Freeze-Dried, 6 Packets, 5 g Each Product Review
It always turns out delicious. The most delicious kefir in the world. Perfect but with some help. Very satisfied. I recommend this product. Excellent. Life and health. I do not recommend it. kefir. Works Well
I cook homemade yogurt and kefir, it turns out great and delicious. Thick.
I took a sourdough for cooking one-day kefir. As you know, one-day kefir is very different from three-day kefir. In fact, these are two different products with different properties. If a dietary one-day kefir is recommended for children, heals the body and helps to lose weight, then a three-day acid is forbidden for babies, causes unpleasant phenomena and can harm. Their tastes are also very different, they are simply incomparable. I buy a regular package of pasteurized milk with a short shelf life and pour a yellowish crystalline starter powder directly into the package. I leave the mixture at room temperature overnight, and in the morning I put the bag in the refrigerator. After cooling, kefir is ready for use. Kefir is tender-tender, thick, dense, homogeneous, absolutely not sour, tasting like a dessert. It does not look like yogurt and fermented baked milk, it doesn’t look like yogurt. To taste it is the usual kefir, but of the highest quality.
It is perfect. It works almost as well as the ones I used to buy in Canada. Only that this starter needs more heat. Room temperature is not enough. Take it to 40 Celsius in the oven at least for the last 2 hours of the 24 that it needs.
Kefir turns out very tasty, as in a store it’s not thick.
I prepared kefir according to the instructions. The result pleased! Very tasty and rich kefir. For me it was important that no special devices are required. I will definitely take more. I recommend this product.
Excellent bacteria for immunity

Bad taste does not fit
need to sweeten. otherwise it’s sour. I like ylhurts more

Will I get kefir grains after 24 hr fermentation?
This is not medication! Well, speaking in common terms, it’s merely a probiotic powder of special sort: kefir. Are you taking probiotics and does your baby do? However, this powder is meant not to be taken as medicine, as a pill or whatever. It is to be cultured with milk (of any sort) into normal food, very common in North/East Europe. Can be eaten by itself, with steamed potatoes, baked in pankaces instead of milk, blended with fruits into smoothie – endless options. It’s just like more sour and thin yogurt! Package explains how to do use it, just read it! If you are not afraid of natural food, of course can be given to baby too. And speaking the facts, in my home country, kefir is considered as safe food for babies from 7-8months.
No this is a 1-time thing, you will not be able to re-use as it is powder. Disappointed and the taste was not great either.
I don’t know about using coconut water, etc. though I guess probably not. But the box does list soy milk as a dairy milk substitute. I have not tried that.
No, this is a powdered form so does n’t grow a culture. You need to buy the raw culture to do that. This will still have the good bacterial though
I have bought Kefir starter from Foodpharmacy Blog and found this product exactly what I need. Instructions written very clear on the box, but I’ll give you my: take 1 packet of starter and dissolve it in a cup of warm milk (not hot!), make 1-1.5 L milk warm (I do in microwave 2 min on high). Mix diluted starter with warm milk, stir and leave in warm place for 8-10 hrs. It should develop milk “clot”, keep it in a fridge as other milk products. Stir and drink then. Good for your digestive function. Normally I am using 1 cup of my kefir as starter for new, so it lasts long. Good luck!
I have never gotten grains (although I have never tried) – I also have not tried using the fermented kefir as a starter.
