The professor’s anti-inflammatory turmeric shot.

So, today we will be in Polish TV. And since this event hopefully will bring some new visitors to the blog, we just want to a) give you a warm welcome, and b) hand you the link to our book. And c) highlight yesterday’s post that probably will give you a pretty good idea of what we’re up to here on our blog. And d) suggest you like us on Facebook (this will be in English from now on). And e) suggest you start following us on Instagram. And g) of course offer you the recipe of our professor’s super anti-inflammatory turmeric shot:

The professor’s anti-inflammatory turmeric shot
1/2 cup water (or any juice)
1 heaped tbsp dried turmeric
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
a pinch of cayenne or black pepper
a pinch of clove
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon

Give it a stir and gulp it down. Cheers!

I did it with fresh ginger & fresh turmeric. The taste wasn’t that bad as I expected to be… I wonder if it is ok to have this exchange for fresh ginger & turmeric, I also did sunflower oil, because olive oil was finished… Very curious, please let me know what you think.

Hello !
I just finished reading the french edition of your book, and loved it – I tried my first turmeric shot just now and it was not even as bad as I thought it would be.
Which leads me to my question: is it possible/recommended to prepare a batch of this beverage (say for 3-4 days) ahead of times ? This way it would be even easier to stick to the routine ?

Thank you for everything, the book is lovely inside and out,
Greetings from Paris

Hi, and thank you! To save some time, I usually mix the dry ingredients in a jar. Then I just add the right amount of the dry ingredients to a glass, together with the liquids, in the morning or whenever it’s time for my daily turmeric shot. Works just fine! I guess it’s even better to prepare the whole shot at one time, but if there’s no time, this way is definitely better than no way at all. Good luck!

hello 🙂 is it possible to prepare this drink in advance and store it in a fridge for a couple of days or will it lose its qualities?
