We use for constipation prevention. As much as 250mg is enough. I want 150-200mg. This is Magnesium Oxide. The ones that are ranked higher are Mag L-Threonate, Citrate, Glycinate etc. Those are believed to be better absorbed whereas Mag oxide are thought to have the lowest absorption rate.
They are about the size of a Bayer Aspirin-just a tiny bit thicker. There is no “coating” on the tabs, so, depending on your sons ability to get them down-MIGHT not be a problem. Good luck!!!
