This depends on the acne you have. If the zits are big and infected, i would rather use a cream or serum to calm down the skin (like a cosrx product for acne). But if you have some zits here and there, its fine to use this product. What they mean with broken skin if your skin is cracked in any way, for example like with psoreasis or eczema.
