Hello, Echinacea has been found to stimulate the immune system. I would recommend using Echinacea only when suffering from severe illness, because normally supplementing good quality vitamin C together with bioflavonoids should reduce the severity and duration of most infections. (Those suffering with HIV-AIDS should NOT stimulate their immune system – they must only be treated by a doctor!) If Echinacea should be indicated, then it should not be taken for more than about 5 days continuously, because taking it longer will over-tax the immune system leading to less help.
