I am not an expert, but folic acid should never be the source of vitamin B9. For folate, using methyltetrahydrofolate should not deplete any methyl donors since it is one itself. As for TMG, I am using it to kick-start my effort to reduce homocysteine levels, and I have not yet measured to see if it helps. I don’t believe it would deplete any methyl donors.
