If you are giving a cat for constipation, you have to make sure the cat is not allergic to psyllium husk before giving regularly and also make sure the cat drinks plenty of water after taking it. An online source says to start with 1/8 teaspoon to begin with and if that is not enough and the cat does not show signs of allergy, increase to 1/4 teaspoon.
I mix this with Metamucil and less processed Psyllium so I don’t use this alone. Has seemed fine to me.
