Yes. Magnesium malate is made from elemental magnesium combined with malic acid. This supplement just doesn’t list the malic acid mg.
They are large in size and kind of oval shaped. like a big multivitamin. They are smooth. I have no issues with them
eat lots of raw vegetables. mag does effect people differently.

In some people it may cause diarrhea, headaches, loose bowel movements. But these are rare side effects and are dosage dependent.
I take it mid morning and in the evening. I don’t notice that it does.
