Retinol – the strongest, but at the same time the slowest manifest anti-aging remedy. If someone tells you that his “skin has become radiant” in just a week of using retinol serum, question the veracity of such statements. To replace the effect of retinol, a lot of time must pass. It’s strange to me that its concentration is stated at 2.5%. It seems much weaker, does not cause any slight reddening, or even a superficial tingling, which sometimes gives even means with a lower concentration of retinol. A few weeks ago my face was red, angry and dry (no thanks to holiday/work stress) but after my showers at night I have been putting this on before bed every other night to help with my skins texture and redness. Hi this item in sale for 45 SR Saudi riyals but when i added to my cart the prize go back to original which is 75 ST. what’s the problem?
I have asked this very question on the official website for Yeouth skin care. This is their reply: “The bottle contents contain 2.5% Retinol.” I know, it sounds like a rather high concentration (by the way, I’ve read online that 2.5% is the highest concentration of retinol for the OTC skin care). Nevertheless, this serum is not irritating at all, even for my very sensitive skin. I never had any peeling/flaking that is so often associated with retinol use. I also use Yeouth Retinol 2.5% Eye Cream, and it’s also very mild and not irritating at all. Of course, before starting to use these 2 products I’ve tried other retinol serums/creams with a lesser concentration, therefore my skin must have been conditioned to it. If this is your first retinol product ever, I’d be very careful and do a test first. Hope this information helps.
I would not use it on the fragile skin below the eyes, as it is thinner and retinol can be a bit harsh. If you’re still wanting to try I would first only apply a small amount to the area further away from the eyes, and wait 24 hours. If no reaction then you can try using it every other day for awhile before attempting to use it daily.
