I have long thick hair and I find the amount of conditioner you use plays a big part in making it feel heavy. I find this conditioner lovely for my long wavy hair and it makes a big difference if you only use a small amount and comb it through the ends rather than using your fingers. I alternate using this conditioner with the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Complex Leave-In Conditioner which is much lighter in texture. I love the leave in cream for daily use and apply it on dry hair even though they state on the bottle apply to wet hair. It leaves your hair bouncy and light so maybe try that one if you want a sleeker look. I use both and alternate them and the bottles last me months.
