So what is in this tea that gives it the aroma it has? This is not the end for me purchasing stash tea, but rather hopefully to draw attention to a quality issue at the factory. It’s not quite the standard over-brew-bad-tea-then-dehydrate-to-powder powdered tea. Fwiw, in the eighteenth century, tea was pronounced tay. It’s a strong, flavorful tea that will definitely give you a jolt. It depends who you are and how you like your tea. This tea clearly has it sights set on getting people who drink tea for one reason (Calm, zen, etc) and coffee (Energy, zing, etc) for another to reconsider that choice. I have been forced to drink it as in many coffee shops it is the only black tea available. As for the bag, it’s your typical tea bag with no staples found on the bag or tag. Herbal teas caffeine-free and in it’s most natural form, herbal teas are made from the infusion of herbs, spices, and organic fruits. The statement about newman’s own foundation and royalties found right next to where the strip is pulled off is the same on the tea bag.

I have tried choice organic oolong tea and prince of peace organic ooolong tea and another organic oolong tea that comes in schmancy vellum triangular tea bags, but all of them were not as strong as bigelow, which is not organic, but is my favorite. Trying a few different brands of smoked tea for the first time. Earl grey teas that are coated with oils tend to have a stronger citrus flavor. I convinced myself the number was wrong because i never thought when i started this whole earl grey review thing it would ever get past being my personal log. I have included a photo comparing the difference between boxes and teabags because i have both. This is a strong tea with bold flavor and plenty of caffeine if you need it. At just steeped, i did not really like the overwhelming flavor but after letting it cool a bit this tea smoothed out very nicely. Bergamot oil is pressed from the rind of the fruit, then tumbled with the tea until the pungent aroma is absorbed. Omg, i hven’t ever had tea this good, i only drink earl grey and now i am in love. Since most earl grey is made with a black tea base, it contains moderate amounts of caffeine. I went ahead and ordered with some trepidation, however, i previously really loved the stash earl grey and wanted to reconnect. Traditional earl greys made with black tea usually have a creamy vanilla, nutty flavor. That reminds me of the worst cup i ever had, served on a pan am flight nearly forty years ago by a flight crew who’d spent most of the night black-taping overhead lights which tended to switch themselves on at random intervals. To end, cooling did nothing for this tea except loose all it’s flavor. I drink two leaves Organic earl grey twice a day, and it’s the only tea i will drink.

Not crazy about herbal/fruity teas, except blackcurrant with a bit of honey. That is, they age their organic assam black tea with the real italian bergamot citrus fruits for a couple of weeks. Apart from that, i once tasted gunpowder tea and the flavor made me think of a cigarette butt steeped in hot water. To clarify, my own tea preferences run to black teas like earl grey, irish breakfast and prince of wales. I kept the box with the remaining 19 teabags, and occasionally ask people to give it a try and tell me if they can come up with a comparison. To savor the full flavor of our teas, bring fresh water to a rolling boil. Black tea leaves are the standard for earl grey, but sometimes green tea leaves or oolong tea leaves are used instead. For earl grey black tea, brew with water just before it reaches a rolling boil. I wanna say the green tea was holding it’s own against the black but nothing was distinct. Earl grey tea can be enjoyed as-is or with the addition of milk, honey, and lemon.

I normally use twining’s tea because of it’s great taste and aroma was hoping i would get the same with this tea. Earl grey is the favorite tea for many tea lovers.
