Hi 🙂 You don’t need to keep pressing the button while you brush 🙂 All you need to do is hold a wet finger on the metal area of the toothbrush, that’s all. Just make sure your hand holding the toothbrush is wet at all times during brushing 🙂 The button and light is an indication of the battery’s status. So every time you brush your teeth, just check whether the battery is working. Press the button and as long as the red light goes on, you are all set. You don’t have to keep pressing. The button is only there so that you know when the battery dies off. And this is not expected to happen before 2 years pass by. 🙂
